The Highlands Eastblock mixed use development is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This community consists of 228 four-story podium style apartments and lofts. The courtyards and pool area are centrally located at the podium level, convenient to residents. This entire city block development is close to both the Presbyterian Hospital and the University of New Mexico Campuses. This is one of the initial developments under the new City of Albuquerque I.D.O Zoning code that promotes density, pedestrian engagement and retail opportunities at a variety of façade treatments. The ground floor includes a variety of uses, screening the two-level garage from pedestrian view. Central Avenue features retail, leasing and fitness uses. Meanwhile, ground level residential loft units address the single-family neighborhoods to the east and north.
